This time in Japan has not been easy. I don't think extreme isolation is ever easy. But that is not to say that I have not gained immensely from this experience. I have, it is safe to say, learned a lot about life. I would not take it back. And soon I will be going to a place where I can always see my friends as I have learned that without the right kinds of friends around I can go nuts. (Just so you know you friends matter). There is much more to say but I'll save it for another time. I have four more months left to be a good teacher, enjoy the countryside, soak up the delicious water in my town, be with friends I have made here, learn more Japanese, and enjoy the soon to be excellent weather.
